Meeting Notes from April 19, 2018
Tom Econome attended the beginning of our meeting and told us that his father, George's, favorite times were with Rotary. He told a couple of stories that George had shared with him and Tom talked about the song we sing when we honor someone. Needless to say, we sang "Here's to George".
President Paul thanked Bob Quinlan for buying the bar.
President Paul thanked all who participated in the Partnerships for Tomorrow Youth Leadership Conference on Monday. He especially thanked Sarah Bulman, Rich Rider for getting mentors, and Garry Parlier as Conference Chair. Paul said, "They hit a home run!" He also thanked the 50 mentors for giving up their time to support the students.
Adrian Blanco talked about his 1 Year Anniversary Celebration and 2nd Year Annual Fundraising Event at his jewelry store on May 3, 2018 from 5:30pm to 8pm. The event will benefit local scholarships, in partnership with the Folsom Rotary Annes. Wine and tequila tastings will be available as will nachos catered by his new next door neighbor. Shop early for Mother's Day and save up to 50% off while contributing to a great cause.
Trisha Saylor told us to be sure and get our Wine and Dine tickets from Monika Reyes. Also, turn in your silent auction items or money ASAP.
Monika presented Dave Boldt with a Paul Harris Fellow +2 pin.
Garry Parlier said that Monday (Leadership Conference) was a great day and that 1,100 students have attended the conference through the years. He thanked everyone involved. Garry then introducted Eric Yoder, Folsom High School Interact Advisor. Eric invited the Interact officers to come forward. Each officer introduced themselves, their office in the club, and the seniors talked about where they are going to college.

- First Semester: Family Fun Expo, Folsom Blues Marathon, Group Bonding, Veterans Day Parade, California International Marathon, Intel Santa, and Toy Drive
- Second Semester: Rotary Anne's Crab Feed, Girl Scout Cookie Mega Drop, Intel 5K run, Folsom Women's Club Tea Party, Egg Stuffing, and Eggstrvaganza

Bob Flautt introduced our speaker, Greg Paquin, President and Founder of the Gregory Group. The Gregory Group is a real estate information and consulting firm that specializes in providing professional services to the building industry. The New-Home Database provides specific analysis related to new-home projects as well as a trend analysis of housing markets throughout California and Nevada. Greg provided interesting information about the Sacramento and Folsom real estate markets.
