March 15 was our St. Patrick's Day meeting and annual Club Auction.

 

President Paul Bonaventure opened the meeting by thanking Colnn Miguelgorry for purchasing the bar.  Colnn bought the bar to celebrate the birth of his daughter.

 

President Paul announced that he was invited to attend a Folsom Cordova Unified School District Community Partners Breakfast on March 22.  To quote from the invitation, "You and your organization have provided valuable resources and opportunities to our students and schools, and we want to celebrate that!  Please join us so we can thank you and take a look at the many student achievements you've helped make possible."

 

President Paul inducted Jim Ortega into the club.  Jim transferred from the Rotary Club of Historic Folsom and is the Chief of Placerville Police.

 

 

The club recognized Rosario Rodriguez as Woman of the Year with a standing ovation.  The club also sang our tribute song "Here's to you!" to Rosario.

 

Colnn was in charge of the Club Auction and Steve Sprague was the auctioneer.  The auction raised over $7,000 for the club.

Adrian Blanco donated a watch and auctioned it to the highest bidder.

 

Patti Mutchler donated this beautiful wall hanging for auction.

 

One of the most popular items was this beer basket donated by Andrew Vierra.  As you can see, the t-shirt was really funny.

 

Lastly, Eric Loigom auctioned off several bottles of wine that had been donated to the club by Steven Long when his restaurant, Le Charenton, closed.
