President Bob Flautt opened the meeting by leading the Pledge of Alligiance.  Bob Mutchler led the club in song and Bob Mange gave the invocation.

 

Secretary Jim Padgett introduced guests and visiting Rotarians.  President Bob's wife, Norma, attended the meeting and he announced that their 45th wedding anniversary is this month.

 

President Bob announced that Jean Hatfield resigned from the club.

 

Adrian Blanco thanked the club for the "meal train" of food to his house as they were getting settled with their new addition to the family, baby Daisy.  He said "Thanks for being family."  He also thanked the club by buying the bar.

 

Dave Boldt presented Terry Cecchi with a thank you gift for getting speakers last year.

 

The Folsom Rotary Foundation Board of Trustees has two members stepping down, Chuck Thurman and Jim Karnis.  Steve Brozosky and Toby Magarian have submitted their names to be on the board.  The election of the new trustees with be at the meeting on July 18.

 

President Bob did a PowerPoint presentation similar to what Past President Paul Bonaventure did during his term.  It was both entertaining and interesting.

 

Our speakers were Folsom Police Chief Rick Hillman and Folsom Fire Chief Felipe Rodriguez.  Their presentation was the City of Folsom Emergency Preparedness Plan.  Also in attendance was Folsom Police Commander Jason Browning, Patrol Operations.
