Meeting Notes from Sept. 19, 2019
 
Prez Bob Flautt opened the meeting and led the Pledge of Allegiance. Bob Mange said a prayer.
 
Jim Padgett introduced guests.

Pat Geary traveled around the world and in South Africa got a Rotary flag.
 
Ryan Jantzen made an announcement about Community Service Day.
He also said to sign up for Rotarian at Work shirts.

Bill Hutto made a Folsom Live announcement.

Bob Flautt made an announcement about the Murer House Shades of Downton Fashion Show. Also, during CSD, the club was building gazebo at Murer House and this is a benefit for the Murer House.

Rotary Conference is Oct. 25-27.

Rich Rider talked about RYE
Lucia was our inbound exchange student, and we also had an outbound student – Kristen Blackburn.
Rich said they are currently recruiting for the next academic year, and so far there are no candidates. Tell your grandkids, nieces, nephews and friends.
The deadline to sign up is Oct. 15

Chuck Thurman made an announcement about Renaissance Fair. They need sign ups BAD.

Kristen Blackburn attended club and spoke about her year in Switzerland. She was there starting in August of 2018 and said she had the time of her life.

Scott Bailey - born at Mercy Folsom. He was recruited to be in the dental business, and also was a Reserve Officer for Folsom PD. His wife got him interested in rotary.

Bob Quinlan – from San Francisco and moved to this area when he was 3 years old. He went to Del Campo High School. He did medical sales for 30 years. He had a run in with the law – got in a scuffle and spend 4 hours in the drunk tank. (oops)

Samantha Davidson – is a Realtor and loves photography. She discovered her love for it when she was under Lake Natoma Bridge and took a photo of it. She said she loves to photograph Folsom so people can see how extraordinary it is.

Ray Henning – born in Glendale. He went to Oregon State for college. He went to Europe and came back with no money, so he went into the collection business with his brother. He liked cars, fly fishing and sporting events.
