Meeting Notes from May 31, 2018
Bill Hutto said to save the date, June 28, for demotion, more information to follow. He also asked for volunteers to work the Rodeo Cantina Bar as the club receives money for working. Sign-ups are forthcoming.
Marc Chan was inducted into the club sponsored by Mike Curtain. Marc's wife of 43 years, Connie was with him at the meeting. Marc is a retired Transit Superintendent.
President Paul announced that the club received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Folsom Leadership 2017-2018 Trail Signage Project. Our club donated $2,000 to the Friends of the Folsom Parkway to help make this happen. (Editor's Note: As one of several cyclists in the club, these signs are a great addition to the trails in Folsom. In the event of an accident, it can be difficult to tell responders where on the trail they need to come. These signs will help pinpoint where response is needed.) Below is the certificate and one of the signs.
President Paul announced that the Folsom Rotary Foundation Trustees election will be at the meeting on June 21. There are 3 positions open and 2 of the current trustees are not running. Please let Paul know if you would like to be on the Folsom Rotary Foundation Board.
The program was vocational with President Paul interviewing four members. On the hot seat were Frank Woods, Mike Smith, Rob Ross, and Toby Magarian. Always an interesting meeting!
