This meeting was a spouse/partner night and the theme was "Murder at the Winery".  Everyone was given written information about the winery and about each character in this murder mystery.  At a little after 6pm, the characters were introduced and we were advised to start interrogating them to get clues as to who murdered Enrich Newgate.  He was found in the cellar, stabbed in the neck with a corkscrew.

 

Alejandro Biagi played by John Messner, Georgio Perret played by Rob Debruin, Clara Sperrazza played by Susan Debruin, and Gina Marello played by Linda Rogers.

 

Donato Espada played by Felipe Rodriquez, Francesca Agostino played by Jeannie Sundermier,

Savio Abruzzo played by Henry Sundermier, and Jessica Arbor played by Jocelyn Hammerstrom.

 

Prior to the start of the meeting, members and guests mingled with the characters getting clues as to the murderer.

 

 

 

President Dave Boldt formally opened the meeting at 7pm by leading the Pledge of Allegiance.  Bob Mutchler led us in song and Sue Barrett gave the invocation.

 

Special guests introduced were Kerri Howell, Folsom Mayor and Felipe Rodriguez, Folsom Fire Chief.  

 

John Messner presented Doug and Wendy Burton with a Rotary Foundation Major Donor Recognition.

President Dave thanked Bob Quinlan for buying the bar.  Bob bought the bar to celebrate no new cancer cell growth after months of treatments.

 

At 8pm, our host, Steve Miklos gave us 15 minutes to figure out who committed the murder.  When the murderer was announced, we heard a recording explaining the murder and the motive.

 

President Dave presented a gift certificate to Geri Miklos for her work on organizing the Murder Mystery.  Geri put up the decorations, center pieces on the tables, signs, and printed information on the characters and the murder scene.  Bob Rogers was thanked for providing music and technical stuff.  Visconti's Restaurant was thanked for catering the evening.
