Meeting Notes from March 28, 2019
President Dave Boldt opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. Someone (I don't know who) led the song and Al Stehli gave the invocation.
Our RYE student, Lucia Pulgar, was at the meeting and, since it was her Sweet 16 Birthday, the club sang Happy Birthday. Lucia announced that the District Passport Club is having a fund-raiser on May 11 called Wine-D Up For Youth at the California Auto Museum. This event will benefit Rotary Youth Exchange, 3Strand (Global Human Trafficking), and other local youth programs. For more information, go to
WINE-D UP FOR YOUTH.
Ryan Jantzen said that the Folsom Lake High Interact Club was collecting personal hygiene items for Project 680.
President Dave and John Abernethy ordered club banners. If you are traveling and plan to attend a Rotary meeting, get a banner from President Dave to take with you and present to the President of the club you visit.
Bob Campbell received his regular membership badge.
John Waterman of the Rotary Club of Paradise announced that the Rotary Club of Folsom won a 1996 Honda Shadow motorcycle at a raffle for victims of the Camp Fire. John was at our club a couple of months ago selling tickets for the raffle and the fines were donated to the Camp Fire Fund.
Charlie Grows bought the bar as he was named Volunteer of the Year at the Greater Folsom Partnership Annual Awards Luncheon last Thursday.
Andrew Vierra introduced our speaker, Jeremiah Pauley. Jeremiah's talk was about the Wounded Warrior Project. He told us about his military service, how it affected him, and how Wounded Warriors helped him. If you did not get a Program Directory at the meeting and would like more information about the project, go to
WOUNDED WARRIOR PROJECT.
