Rotary Pancake Breakfast
This past weekend, Carolyn and I were in Graeagle. On Sunday, the Rotary Clubs of Graeagle and Portola hosted a pancake breakfast at the Plumas-Eureka State Park as a fundraiser for the museum there and we went. Saturday and Sunday were Gold Rush Days at the park.
As we got our pancakes, etc. I mentioned that I am a Rotarian from the Rotary Club of Folsom. The Rotarian that served us pancakes asked if we knew Guy Gibson. Of course I answered yes and he told me that Guy is his uncle. I asked Matt how his uncle is doing and he did say that Guy's health was not very good. For our newer members who have not met Guy, he joined our club in 1978 and recently became a past member. I thought our older members would appreciate this story.
Matt is in the yellow Rotary hat.
It was an excellent pancake breakfast with pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausages, coffee, and orange juice, a great deal for only $10.
