Meeting Notes from August 8, 2019
President Bob Flautt led the Pledge of Allegiance. Bob Mutchler led us in song and Bob Mange gave the Invocation.
Secretary Jim Padgett introduced guests and visiting Rotarians.
Chuck Thompson thanked the club for welcoming him and Connie back from Washington. Editor: It is good to have you back in our club.
Paul Bonaventure announced that the Past President's Night will be on Wednesday, October 2. The Past Presidents are the Nominating Committee for President-Elect and will provide a nominee for the 2021/2022 Rotary year.
Past President Dave Boldt presented a thank you gift to Steve Sprague for collecting fines last year.

Ryan Jantzen announced that for Folsom Community Service Day on September 21, our club will be working on two projects. One project is building 3 pergolas at the Murer House and the second project is painting Journey Church. He asked for skilled laborers to sign-up for the Murer House project and unskilled laborers to sign up for the Journey Church project. He also listed the following potential projects this year:
- October project at Powerhouse Center
- Lew Howard Park - new shade structure
- Folsom Bike Trail - refurbishing the benches built by the club between 2002 and 2005.

Marko Mlikotin introduced our speaker, Sue Frost. Sue is County Supervisor for District 4 which included the City of Folsom. She talked about current issues that are facing the county.
