Meeting Notes from November 10, 2022
President Ryan Jantzen opened the meeting at 7 pm by leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Bob Mange gave the Invocation.
Secretary Jim Padgett introduced visiting Rotarians and guests. Visiting the club were 7 members of the Folsom High School Interact Club. Jim asked them to introduce themselves. Of the 7 Interacters, 5 were club officers and 2 of them were Interact District Officers.
Bill Hutto reminded everyone about the Veterans Day Parade on November 11.
Richelle Brooks reminded everyone that labeling dictionaries will be on November 16 at 6 pm at Granite School. Pizza and drinks will be served after labeling is complete. The labeling work party was moved to November 17.
President Ryan announced that there are two casts for A Christmas Carol at the Harris Center. The Holly cast includes John Baciocco's son, Adrian's son, and Ryan's daughter and son. The Holly cast will perform on Saturday, November 19.
Shaina DiMariano, DDS, talked to the club about the Children's Organ Transplant Association. Isacc Wadding, a Folsom teenager, needs a life-saving kidney transplant. Shaina asked that we show our support by donating to COTA in his honor. 100% of funds raised assist with transplant-related expenses. Justin Raithel levied fines and said that fines collected tonight will be donated to COTA. Needless to say, our club was generous, as usual.
Svetlana Osokina announced that she is pregnant and due in May. She joins Richelle Brooks and Rochelle Miskanis who are also expecting.
President Ryan introduced our program. Since it is Veterans Day, Ryan asked 5 members of our club to tell us the military service that they served in and a significant thing that occurred during their service. The 5 members were Jerry Avila, Ken Stuart, Dan Christiansen, John Baciocco, and Dave Dohery.

Veterans Day Parade
The Rotary Club of Folsom, Rotary Club of Historic Folsom, Rotary Club of Folsom Lake, Folsom High School Interact Club, and Vista Del Lago High School Interact Club participated in the Wayne Spence Folsom Veterans Day Parade on Friday, November 11. The club entered a float in the parade that depicted the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima. Rotarians and Interacters walked along the parade route with the float. Interacters also passed out candy to the spectators along the route.
