Meeting Notes from February 7, 2019
Counting guests and members of the club, attendance at the February 7 meeting had to be close to a record. The room was set up for 108 people. When we all sat down for dinner, only 1 table was empty. Here are photos taken during cocktails.
President Dave Boldt opened the meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Andrew Vierra led us in the singing of "My Country Tis of Thee", followed by Bob Mange who gave the Invocation.
President Sam Vaughn of the Rotary Club of Folsom Lake introduced the 10 members from his club. The Folsom Lake Club worked with us on the Teacher Grant program. Teachers and principals were introduced later during the presentation of the teacher grants.
John Messner presented several Paul Harris Fellow recognition pins. He told us that the club has 68 Paul Harris Fellows, 50 Multiple Paul Harris Fellows, 6 Major Donors, and 7 Benefactors. Receiving Paul Harris pins were

Chuck Thurman thanked the volunteers who helped with the bar at the Rotary Annes Crab Feed on Saturday, February 2.
Distribution of the dictionaries to third graders started on Wednesday, February 6 and will go through Tuesday, February 26. Check your email for the latest schedule.
Joe Gagliardi, Kate Gonzales, and Adrian Blanco presented a $5,000 check from the Folsom Rotary Foundation to John Waterman and Vickie Perez of the Rotary Club of Paradise for Camp Fire victims. John said that the Camp Fire Fund from Rotarians and other donors is $1,400,000. Joe said that the Chamber of Commerce gave $45,000 in kind to 45 families displaced by the Camp Fire who were temporarily living in hotels in Folsom.

Steve Sprague levied fines. The fines from tonight of $660 were also given to John for the Camp Fire Fund.
