Meeting Notes from June 27 Demotion

The June 27 Demotion of President Dave Boldt was held at the Folsom Community Center.  Dave was picked up at his home before the meeting and was set up with a drum in front of Snook's Candies on Sutter Street soliciting donations for the Rotary Club of Folsom.  When he was told to leave, he arrived at the Community Center a little after 6 pm.

The bar was provided by the club and a prime rib dinner was provided by Wildwood Barbeque.  After dinner, we were entertained by Jay Freeman on guitar, President Dave on drums, Steve Miklos on guitar, and Henry Sundermier on saxophone and guitar.  Many members got up and danced to their great music.

After the jam session, President Dave talked about the accomplishment during his term.  The club is now at 101 members.  The four-year scholarship to a Folsom High Grad was increased to $1,500 per year.  He talked about assisting the Rotary Club of Gridley by sorting out donated items for the Camp Fire victims and he thanked Adrian Blanco and Kate Gonzales for their generosity to Camp Fire victims.  He presented Garry Parlier and Jim Padgett with Paul Harris recognition.  He recognized Bob Mange as Rotarian of the Year.

President Dave thanked his Board of Directors.  He and incoming President Bob Flautt exchanged pins (Past President and President), and then Bob introduced his Board of Directors.
