Rotary Club of Folsom - May 21, 2026
Another Great Mystery Trip!
Instead of our regular Thursday evening meeting on May 21, 2026 members of the Rotary Club of Folsom enjoyed one of our club’s favorite annual traditions — Mystery Trip!
This year’s Mystery Trip was planned and organized by Ken and Barb Stuart — “Ken and Barbie” — who kept everyone guessing from beginning to end.

The evening began at Olga Garton’s office, where members gathered for a lively happy hour filled with libations and fun before boarding the bus to destinations unknown.

The evening’s adventure first brought members to the “back” of Dry Diggings Distillery, where we stepped into what felt like a hidden western speakeasy — a cozy room full of rustic charm, handcrafted cocktails, and just enough mystery to convince many that we had reached our final destination.
But in true Mystery Trip fashion… we had been fooled!

Just when everyone settled in, we were ushered back onto the bus for what turned out to be one of the shortest mystery rides in club history — approximately one corner away to the Dry Diggings restaurant and bar side, where the evening continued with a delicious dinner and dessert prepared by the talented chefs at Dry Diggings Distillery.

As always, the night was filled with laughter, fellowship, and memories that will no doubt be talked about for years to come. And no Mystery Trip would be complete without a little mischief! The evening’s running prank began back at Olga’s office when President Scott’s phone mysteriously disappeared, only to reappear throughout the night — mysteriously accumulating photos, selfies, and surprises along the way. We may never know exactly who was responsible…

Building Castle Park
In March, April, and May, members of the Rotary Club of Folsom contributed over 300 volunteer hours helping build the new Castle Park playground.
The new playground includes two separate play areas: a “Tots Lot” for children ages 2–5 and a play area for children ages 5–12. Our club focused primarily on building the Tots Lot. The new playground replaces the original structure built by community volunteers in 1996 — including many Rotarians.

EREY – Every Rotarian Every Year: We Need YOU!
Every Rotarian Every Year (EREY) is more than just a goal — it’s a way for our club to do even more good in the world.
We are striving to be an EREY Club, and we need every Rotarian to make a tax-deductible donation of at least $25 (or more!) to the Rotary International Foundation.
Why does this matter? As an EREY Club, the Rotary Club of Folsom becomes eligible for additional matching grant funds from Rotary International, helping us stretch our dollars even further and maximize our ability to support meaningful service projects locally and around the world.
In short: more giving means more doing good!
To make your donation, please go to: https://my.rotary.org/en/donate
Don’t know your login information? No problem! Once you click the link, scroll to the bottom of the page. It will automatically populate and highlight “Annual Fund Share.” Select your donation amount, then click “Continue as Guest.” Complete the information on the next page, and under “Club Information for Club Credit,” select “Rotary Club” and enter our Club ID #: 526. Click “Submit” — and you’re done!
Don’t delay! Donations must be completed by June 30, 2026, or we will not qualify for EREY this year. Every single Rotarian counts, and everyone is counting on YOU to help us reach this important goal.
LET’S DO THIS, ROTARIANS!
If you have questions, please contact Len Hundshamer or John Baciocco.
