Meeting Notes from February 15, 2024
The meeting of February 15 was opened by President Justin Raithel who led the Pledge of Allegiance. Bob Mange gave the Invocation.
Secretary Jim Padgett introduced guests and visiting Rotarians. Jim asked the members to give a big hand to John Messner who bought the bar.
Toby Magarian asked for more mentors for the High School Leadership Conference on Tuesday, February 27. If you have friends who would be good mentors to high school junior students, please invite them to join us and let Toby know who they are.
Rich Pepin gave us dates for third grade dictionary distributions which started on Monday, February 12 at Carl Sundahl School. Trudy Nygren emailed a schedule to the club on Sunday, February 19. Look for emails from Trudy that may have updates to the schedule.
The Mystery Trip is next Thursday, February 29. As of this meeting, there were still 15 spots left on the bus. If you haven't signed up and want to go, register on our website at
Mystery Trip or let Matt Sundermier or President Justin know at the meeting tonight. There is NO meeting at the clubhouse on Thursday, February 29.
As of the February 15 meeting, there were still 2 open seats on the Dragon Boat. The rowers have met 39% of their donation goal to Powerhouse Ministries.
If you haven't donated to the Rotary Foundation this year, you can do so at rotary.org or give a check to Ramesh Dontha and he will submit your donation for you. The club has a goal to be an EREY (Every Rotarian Every Year) this year and 68% of the members have donated. You can donate as little as $10 and your donation will count towards EREY. Keep in mind this is our Rotary International Foundation when you make your donation and that it is one of the best charities in the world.
President Justin introduced our guest speakers, Bruce Cline and Robert Goss. Bruce and Robert gave us a presentation on Folsom Takes Action. President Justin presented a bottle of saki to Bruce and a chocolate Rotary Wheel from Snook's to Robert.
