Meeting Notes from April 7, 2022
President Steve Brozosky opened the meeting at 6:58 pm by leading the club in the Pledge of Allegiance. Joe and Bob Hoffman sort of led the club in the singing of My Country Tis of Thee.
Bob Mange gave the Invocation.
Secretary Jim Padgett introduced visiting Rotarians and guests.
Ryan Jantzen reminded the board members for 2022/2023 about the District 5180 Assembly on Saturday, April 9. He also said that everyone is invited to attend and learn more about Rotary. He also announced that Folsom Rotary Annes got a fireworks booth this year.
President Steve reminded the members who signed up to hand out Easter Groceries and Baskets to be at Twin Lakes Food Bank on Monday, April 11 at 8:30 am.
Bill Tobin gave us an update on what ShelterBox has been doing in Ukraine. Bill said "ShelterBox is working with our partner, People in Need, we’re sending mattresses to people living in ‘collective centers’ like schools and sports centers in Lviv, Ukraine. With the help of our partner, ReliefAid, we’ll be providing Shelter Kits with tools and rope to people living in buildings damaged by the conflict, in addition to high thermal blankets, hygiene kits, solar lights and water carriers." Bill also announced that our club has donated over $3,000 putting us at the silver level. There will be a Bowling for Boxes Serious Fun Tournament for ShelterBox on May 21 at Fireside Lanes, 7901 Auburn Boulevard, Citrus Heights at 12:30 pm. For more information, go to

President Steve announced by acclamation that Justin Raithel is President-Elect-Elect for the Rotary year 2023/2024.
Bob Flautt introduced our speaker, Jim Pelley, Comedian, Workplace Humorist, and former SNL writer.
President Steve presented a box of Snook's Chocolate to Jim.
