Our speaker was Rotarian Alex Prime, who returned for a part 2 of his story about his wife's, son's, and his escape from Russia just after Russia invaded Ukraine. His presentation was both fascinating and moving as they had to sell everything, say goodbye to family members, and risk everything in a dangerous journey just to come to America. They traveled from St. Petersburg to Moscow to Istanbul to Mexico City to Tijuana to Sacramento with interesting stories in each place, sharing the many challenges and dangers they faced along the way. Alex, thanks for sharing your amazing journey with us.
Castle Park Renovation
Our Rotarians have been hard at work to finish the renovation at Castle Park and thanks to the efforts of many, it all came together!

In true Folsom Rotary Club fashion we recognized Rotarian, John Messner who exemplified “Service Above Self” even though injured his elbow still showed up to work on Castle Park renovation with his arm in a sling, with our club’s signature song in which we show love:
Here's to John he's a real nice guy, here's to John he's a real nice guy, He certainly is a daisy, he drives the women crazy,
Here's to John he's a HORSE'S A___!
We love you John!
