It was brought to my attention by a member that I got the start time of the meeting on December 8 wrong.  I wrote that the Hoffman brothers started the Pledge of Allegiance at 6:58 but was advised that they started at 7:02.  Sorry, my watch must have been running slow.

 

 

 

 

The meeting of December 15 was the club Holiday Party.  President Ryan Jantzen opened the meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance.  Bob Mange gave the Invocation.

 

Secretary Jim Padgett welcomed visiting Rotarians and visitors.  Jim also read a couple of letters from third grade students thanking the club for their dictionaries.

 

President Ryan thanked Rich Pepin for leading the Dictionary Project.

 

Announcements were made about the Murer House Project on Saturday, December 17 and singing at the Folsom Zoo Saturday evening.

 

Our entertainment was the El Dorado Musical Theater group High Voltage.  The High Voltage group are the top performers at EDMT between the ages of 14 to 22.  There are 22 members in the group and 16 performed at the clubhouse.  They were fantastic.

On Saturday, December 17, several members of the club were at the Murer House erecting a pergola over the pizza oven.  John Messner precut the lumber for the project and put in the footings.  With all the help that was there, the work on Saturday was completed in a couple of hours.  The final step is putting on a roof.
