President Monika Reyes opened the April 1 ZOOM meeting at 7:01 pm.  There were 23 participants on ZOOM.

 

President Monika reminded the members that the April 15 meeting will be an update on the Brazil Fine Arts Project and that the April 29 program will be Teacher Grants.

 

President Monika announced April birthdays and anniversaries.

 

President Monika thanked the club volunteers for completing the shed project at Powerhouse Ministries and the work crew who cleaned up the homeless camp.  She also thanked Rich Pepin, Christie Waterous, and the club volunteers for delivering the dictionaries to third grade classes in Folsom.

 

Rather than assessing fines, Steve Sprague told jokes.

 

Calendar reminder - the District 5180 Conference this year will be virtual on May 22 and 23 from 10 am until noon each day.  Registration fee is $25 and you can register on the District 5180 website at District 5180 Conference.  This is a great opportunity to learn more about Rotary beyond our club.

 

District 5180 is hosting the Pinewood Derby Race on May 1, 10 am at Fairytale Town in Sacramento.  Girl Scout Troop 94 will design, build, and race the Folsom Rotary car.

 

Coach Roz (Greg Roeszler)  gave an update on what PlayMakers have been doing and upcoming activities.
