The meeting of February 26 was opened at 7 pm by President Scott Bailey leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Bob Mange gave the Invocation.
Secretary Jim Padgett introduced visitors. Joe Hoffman introduced our new Folsom Chief of Police Adam Green.
Chuck Thompson introduced Grace Vierria. Grace is a member of Barnyard Bidders and for the third year she is raising and showing a market swine. She told us about raising a pig and answered questions about it. She will be showing her pig at the Sacramento County Fair and will participate in the junior livestock auction. Our club donated fines and members made donations to Grace to support the cost of raising her pig. Jim Snook is her grandfather.

Assistant District Governor Ryan Jantzen encouraged members to attend District 5180 Conference at Caesars Republic in South Lake Tahoe on May 1, 2, and 3. For information on the conference, go to rotary5180.org. You can register and book your room at Caesars on the District website. Registration, including meals, is $375 per person.
AG Ryan said we need 3 more mentors for the 31st Annual Dave West Partnerships for Tomorrow Leadership Conference. Contact Ryan if you have not already signed up and ask your friends to take the day off and join us.
President Scott talked about a fund-raiser sponsored by the Rotary Club of Folsom Lake on March 30.

President Scott announced that the Speech Contest will be next week, March 5. He also told the members to put May 21 on their calendars for the annual Mystery Trip hosted by Ken and Barbara Stuart.

President Scott introduced our speaker, "Ranger Rose" McHenry, Park Ranger. Her talk was titled "Tales from Rogue Ranger". Rose was a U.S. National Park Ranger in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Mount Rainier National Parks, and a California State Park Ranger on the American River. Her talk was about how she became a Park Ranger and she read excerpts from two books she wrote about her experiences. At the end of her talk, she raffled off two coffee mugs and a tote bag. Dennis Carlson and President Scott won the mugs and John Baciocco won the tote.

President Scott presented a box of chocolates from Snook's Candy which includes a chocolate Rotary Wheel to Ranger Rose as a thank you.
