Meeting Notes from August 21, 2025
The meeting of August 21 was opened by President Scott Bailey at 7 pm. President Scott led the Pledge of Allegiance and Bill Hutto gave the Invocation. Ramesh Dontha presented a member profile of Solomon Chis. To see Solomon's profile, go to

Secretary Jim Padgett introduced guests. Several members of our speaker's family were in attendance. Solomon's wife, Carman, attended the meeting. Thanks to Conni and Chuck Thompson for buying the bar.
President Scott showed a slide of Our Club Statement. When someone asks you "What is the Rotary Club of Folsom?", you could answer with the following:
On September, 20, 2025, the Rotary Club of Historic Folsom will present a Beatles Tribute by the Sun Kings at Zittle Family Amphitheater. This is a fund-raiser for their club. For more information and tickets, go to

John Messner announced that there will be a work party at Twin Lakes Food Bank to paint the fence in front of the building on Saturday, August 23 starting at 8:00 am.
President Scott talked about the meeting on August 28 which will be Old Timers Night. He also announced the speakers for the month of September.
President Scott announced a District 5180 Leadership Training event on October 11 and 12, 2025. This event is called PeRLS (Practical Relevant Leadership Skills) from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm each day at Sierra College in Rocklin. Cost is $150 which includes morning coffee and pastries, lunch both days, and all session materials. If you are interested in attending, talk to President Scott.
John Bacciocco gave an update on Oktoberfest. The Rotary Club of Folsom Lake is joining us on this fund-raiser. Tickets are now available online at
Oktoberfest 2025. Beer steins will be available for sale at the event. John presented a beer stein to Bill Hutto for placing the first order for tickets. Brian Martell poured beer into Bill's stein.

John Messner introduced our speaker, Nacho Damian. Nacho was assisted by his son, Christian, who showed slides. Nacho talked about his career and how he became a painter of exotic cars. Nacho painted our club trailer that we got back from the Boy Scouts after President Scott stripped it of the Boy Scout logos.
President Scott presented a box of Snook's chocolates, including a chocolate Rotary Wheel, to Nacho for sharing his story with us.

Twin Lakes Food Bank Project on August 23
Several Rotarians were out on Saturday, August 23 to paint the fence that the club installed a few weeks back. President Scott provided our typical club refreshments while John Messner supervised the painters.
