"The Rotary Teacher Grant program started as a club project 24 years ago. It started as an up to $250.00 grant to fund a project, materials and/or equipment for their class or classes.  But thanks to the generosity of our members this will be the sixth year that our grants have been offered as an up to $500.00 amount.  And with the Folsom Lake Club joining with us again this year, the two clubs provided a total grant expenditure $7,500.00.  To date, including tonight, Rotary has provided over 327 teachers with grants that total over $130,000.00. This year we had 25 applications from 12 schools and were able to fund a total of 17 grants."

Bob asked each teacher to first introduce their principal and/or guest that might be with them this evening, then tell us the grade level and/or subject they teach, and then give a brief explanation of the project, material, and/or equipment that the grant will help to fund.  Bob then asked Sonny DaMarto, who coordinates the teacher grant selection for the Folsom Lake Club, to come forward and present the checks as Bob introduced our 2022 Teacher Grant Award recipients .
