Meeting Notes from July 17, 2025
The meeting of July 17 was opened by President Scott Bailey at 7 pm. President Scott led the Pledge of Allegiance and Bill Hutto gave the Invocation.
Vicki Bencken substituted for Secretary Jim Padgett as he was out of town. Vicki introduced guests and visiting Rotarians. One of our visiting Rotarians was District Governor Elect Dave Veden.
Henry Sundermier announced that he has lined up 15 projects for this Rotary year including replacing the Castle Park playground equipment. Our speaker on August 14 will be Joanne Brausch who will talk about replacing the Castle Park playground. Henry said details, dates, etc. for the projects will be coming out shortly.
President Scott announced that next meeting, July 24, will be Club Assembly. The theme is Hawaiian night, and the bar will be free.
Jason Brinitzer said that the 5th Thursday of July meeting will probably be at Black Miners Bar. Look for an email with information about the meeting of July 31.
John Baciocco asked that members each sell 4 tickets to Oktoberfest and solicit sponsorships from companies they do business with or that they are regular customers of. Contact John if you have questions concerning sponsorships. Tickets will be available on our website soon.
President Scott announced that the August 28 meeting will be an "Old Timers Night". If you know a past member of our club, invite them to join us.
District Governor Elect Dave Veden presented two Paul Harris pins to members of our club. He presented a Paul Harris +1 pin to John Baciocco and a Paul Harris +2 pin to Cathy Hundshamer.

President Scott handed out a short survey about the club to the members at the meeting and asked that they complete the survey before leaving the meeting.

Bill Hutto introduced our speakers from Snowline Health, Morgan Thomas, Director of Hospice Patient Services and Laurie Heyman, Philanthropy Development Director. Morgan talked about the differences between palliative care and hospice care and touched on other care services offered by Snowline Health. Laurie talked about volunteering at Snowline and how to donate to Snowline. For information about Snowline Health, visit their website at
