Meeting Notes from November 12, 2020
President Monika Reyes opened the meeting at 7:07 pm with only 12 participants. Where was everyone?
President Monika talked about the following items:
- Breathe California Bike Trek - According to Frank Woods, only three members of the Folsom Rotary Cycling Team rode in the trek on October 17. The members of the team raised $2,764 for Breathe California. Frank thanked Folsom Rotarians for their donations as sponsorship of the team.
- She thanked Bill Hutt0, Chuck Thompson, Conni Thompson, John Messner, and Scott Bailey for refurbishing the Rotary Parade Float.
- She also thanked the members for attending the Orville Wegat Birthday Parade. Chuck Thurman said that Orville and Delores were both excited with the parade. Needless to say, Orville had a Bud in honor of the occasion.
Christie Watrous reminded members about the Powerhouse Ministries Christmas Senior Gift Bag Program which she sent to everyone via email on November 5. President Monika said that the Rotary Club of Folsom Lake will host a gift bag packing event at the Canyon Grill on Saturday, November 21 at 1 pm if you want to help. Frank said that Rotary Annes are doing 20 gift bags for Powerhouse Ministries.
President Monika thanked Adrian Blanco and Colnn Miguelgorry for arranging the booze presentations at our last meeting and the Cooking Class on Friday, November 13.
The Folsom Rotary Clubhouse will be closed through December. December ZOOM meetings will be on:
- December 3 - 7 pm
- December 17 - 7 pm
- December 31 - 7 pm **TBD
The next meeting will be Thursday, November 19. Colnn is planning a trivia night for the meeting.

Cooking Class
The cooking class on Friday, November 13 was well attended with over 30 participants. I didn't attend but heard that it was both educational and fun. Below are photos provided by Doug Zezoff.
