President Ryan Jantzen opened the meeting at 7 pm by leading the Pledge of Allegiance.  One of the members led the song, "My Country Tis of Thee", followed by Bob Mange giving the Invocation.

 

Secretary Jim Padgett introduced visiting Rotarians and guests.

 

Joe Hoffman talked about the club auction which will be at the next meeting, December 8.  He asked the members to let him know what they are bringing as an auction item.  He also asked for good stuff whether it be new or slightly used.

 

Oktoberfest is in April 2023 and we need members to be on the committee.  Please contact President Ryan if you can volunteer your time on this fundraiser for the club.

 

Another fundraiser in the spring will be Cornhole for a Cause.  If you can be on the committee of it, contact President Ryan and volunteer.

 

For the Leadership Conference, we need more members to volunteer to be mentors.  It is only 2/3rds of a day on February 7, 2023.  Please volunteer!

 

Dictionary distribution starts Monday, December 5 and will end a week later.  This is a fun activity so please volunteer to help Rich Pepin on this project.

 

President Ryan and Henry Sundermier decorated a Christmas tree at the Folsom Zoo for Wild Nights and Holiday Lights 2022.

 

John Messner reported on the Ride to End Polio.  There were about 100 cyclists riding on the Rotary team and they raised about $5,000,000 for Polio Eradication.

 

Justin Raithel levied fines.

 

The program for the evening was the "Old Timers", former members of the club.  Each former member talked about when they were in our Rotary Club and what was special about Rotary to  each of them.
