Meeting Notes from October 4, 2024

The bell was returned to the club. I guess the bell was dressed for Halloween.
The meeting of October 4 was opened by President Ramesh at 7 pm. Rich Rider led the Pledge of Allegiance and Bob Mange gave the Invocation.
Secretary Jim Padgett introduced guests.
President Ramesh showed a slide about Hurricane Helene Disaster Relief. The slide contained a message from Zones 33 & 34 Director Patrick Eakes that said “We have established a fund where those who would like to assist recovery efforts by making a donation can do so via online payment, mailed check, or wire transfer at

Colnn Miguelgorry and Scott Moore reported on a very successful Renaissance Faire this year. We grossed about $3,000 more than previous years. They thanked the members who came out and worked a shift.
Henry Sundermier reported that the benches were installed at the Pickleball courts this past week. He also asked for volunteers to install windows on the greenhouse on Saturday, October 6 at 9 am.
President Ramesh said that both tables for the District Rotary Foundation Dinner are sold out.
Frank Ali encouraged members to sell tickets to Oktoberfest. Scott Moore has tickets or tickets can be purchased online. Scott Bailey showed us the beer mugs from Germany that will be sold at the event. We still need silent auction items.
Jim Ortega levied fines.
Vicki Bencken introduced our speaker, Brian Wallace. His talk was about the implication of saying yes and the upside of saying yes.
President Ramesh presented a chocolate Rotary Wheel from Snook’s to Brian for speaking to us.
