The meeting of November 21 was opened by President Ramesh at 7 pm. President Ramesh led the Pledge of Allegiance and Bob Mange gave the Invocation.

 

Secretary Jim Padgett introduced some guests and visiting Rotarians. This was a special meeting that included spouses, partners, friends, and Rotary Annes. The room was set up for 80 people and we were almost full.

 

I got almost everyone in the photo but a few people were cut off on the right side.

 

President Ramesh introduced a family from Austria who were visiting our club. They hosted a Rotary Youth Exchange student, Carley Barrett, from our district and are here to attend her wedding.

President Ramesh thanked the Rotary Annes for their support of our fund-raising projects. He also thanked the cooks and servers who provide our dinner.

President Ramesh introduced Subbanna and Usha Chenna as Honorary Members of our club. They have supported some of our club projects with their donations to the Folsom Rotary Foundation. Starting in 2025, our club will be giving three Folsom Lake College scholarships of $1,000 each in the name of "The Rotary Club of Folsom and Venugopal Chenna". Our club was able to donate the van to the Flying Samaritans with proceeds from their donations. The Chenna Family believes in Rotary values and plans to continue to support student scholarships.

President Ramesh presented a video of Rotary Club of Folsom's Community Service Programs from July 2024 to November 2024. The video can be viewed at First Five Months.

 

The Holiday Party will be on Thursday, December 12 at 6 pm at the Folsom Community Center. Dress up as your favorite Holiday movie character for fun, games, music, and more. Cost is $25.00 per person. To register for the Holiday Party, go to Holiday Party Registration on our website.

 

Henry Sundermier thanked the members who served at the bar at the HART event. He also said that our next project will be on Sunday, December 1 from 11 am to 1 pm, planting daffodil bulbs on Sutter Street.

 

Scott Bailey introduced our program, Magician Steve Branham. 

 

 

 

 

 

Steve was very funny and entertaining. Sorry, no explanation of the photos; you had to be there to enjoy the magic. At the end of his performance, President Ramesh presented a Snook's chocolate Rotary wheel to Steve for making us ask "How did you do that?" and laugh at his jokes.
