Rotary Club of Folsom: 5th Thursday Social Event -  January 29,2026

This week, we did not hold our regular meeting at the Rotary Clubhouse. Instead, we gathered for our Fifth Thursday Social, enjoying a special evening together at Uncle Charlie’s Firehouse & Brew!
Fifth Thursday Social = Brew-tastic Night!

What a fantastic Fifth Thursday Social we enjoyed this week at Uncle Charlie’s Firehouse & Brew! Our club loved coming together to support a fellow Rotarian-owned business, proudly owned by Rotarian Charlie Grows and his daughter, Taryn Grows.

Charlie treated us to an exclusive behind-the-scenes brewery tour, sharing the story, passion, and craftsmanship that go into every brew. It was both fun and informative, and a great reminder of the entrepreneurial spirit within our Rotary family.

Dinner featured an incredible taco bar from Sutter Street Taqueria, provided by fellow Rotarian Rosario Rodriguez. It was absolutely delicious and a huge hit with everyone.

A special shout-out to Taryn, our brew-tifully fantastic hostess. She kept the energy high, the laughs flowing, and led a beer-themed trivia game that had everyone entertained and engaged.

The night was filled with great food, great drinks, and even better company. It was another wonderful example of how special our Rotary community truly is. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it such a memorable evening.

Rotary Reflection:

This month’s Fifth Thursday Social was a perfect reminder of what makes Rotary special. When we come together to support one another, share our stories, and strengthen our connections, we build more than fellowship. We build trust, community, and lasting impact. Rotary is not just about service projects or meetings, it is about relationships rooted in shared values and a commitment to doing good together. When Rotarians support Rotarians, our reach extends even further into the community we serve. #BetterTogether
