Meeting Notes from March16, 2023
President Ryan Jantzen opened the meeting by leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Al Stehli gave the Invocation.
Secretary Jim Padgett introduced visiting Rotarians. Since the meeting was for St. Patrick's Day and spouses/partners were invited, Jim went around the room so that members could introduce their guests.
President Ryan talked about the District 5180 Conference which will be held in Folsom on May 5 to May 7. Friday night will be wine tasting at Miners Leap Winery in Clarksburg. Food trucks will have food there for purchase. On Saturday morning, the District Speech Contest will be at the Folsom Rotary Clubhouse. Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner, and Sunday brunch will be at the Folsom Community Center. Rotarians and guests must be registered for the conference. To register, go to

President Ryan announced that the District 5180 Assembly for 2023/2024 club officers will be on April 22 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Club officers and Board members for Justin Raithel's term are encouraged to attend. Also, any Rotarian can attend the assembly. The assembly is a good place for new members to learn more about Rotary. See Justin if you are interested in attending the assembly.
Club Chairman for the Rotary Foundation, John Messner, presented a Paul Harris Fellow recognition to Michelle Padgett from Dan Nitz. Rotarians who have 1,000 points or more from giving to the Rotary Foundation can present a Paul Harris Fellow to anyone he or she chooses.

The entertainment for the evening was a trivia game. Most of the trivia was about Ireland and the Irish with a some Rotary trivia at the end. The center table won.
