Meeting Notes from January 9, 2025
The meeting of January 9 was opened by President Ramesh Dontha at 7 pm. Bill Hutto led the Pledge of Allegiance and Bob Mange gave the Invocation.
Secretary Jim Padgett introduced guests and visiting Rotarians.
President Ramesh shared information on how we can help the victims of the Los Angeles Wildfires by donating to Rotary Districts 5280 and 5300. Additionally, Conni and Chuck Thompson asked for donations as they are planning to drive to LA on Saturday, January 11 with donations.
President Ramesh announced that the 30th Annual Partnerships for Tomorrow Leadership and Ethics Conference will be on Thursday, February 27. Mentors are needed. In addition to Rotary members signing up as mentors, ask your friends to do the same. Refer to the email sent out to members on Monday, January 13 for more information and how to register as a mentor.
Guest Rich Francis from the Folsom Athletic Association (FAA) invited us to their first fundraiser on Saturday, January 25 as shown below.
President Ramesh announced that the fifth Thursday in January will be a fun off-site meeting at
Dave and Buster's on January 30. Cost is $30 per person which includes dinner, first drink, and arcade credits. Spouses and partners are encouraged to attend. You can register at

President Ramesh and Rotary Foundation co-chairs Cathy and Len Hundshamer presented a Paul Harris +4 pin to Bob Blackwell.
Justin Raithel levied fines.
Our speakers were Rich Rider and Vicki Bencken. They shared their experiences in India volunteering at a Rotoplast project and touring around. Vicki presented a banner from the Rotary Club of Bangalore North to President Ramesh.
