If you need a Folsom Rotary work shirt or would like to purchase a Folsom Rotary golf shirt, contact President Ryan.

The Murer House project to put a shade structure over the pizza oven will be on December 17.  About 8 people are needed for this work project.

John Messner suggested making a donation to the Rotary Foundation this month if you need a charity tax donation by the end of the year.

President Ryan told the membership that there will be a blood drive at Roseville Revolutions on December 16.

President Ryan reminded everyone that the Christmas Party will be at the Rotary Clubhouse on December 15.  The EDMT singers including John Baciocco's son and President Ryan's son and daughter will entertain us with Christmas music.

The program for the evening was club auction.  Each member was asked to bring an item for auction with a value of at least $50.  Bob and Joe Hoffman were the auctioneers and raised $4,250 for the club.

The Hoffmans showed slides of the club bell traveling around the Folsom area.  Above is President Ryan opening a box with the bell inside.  Happy days, the bell is back!

President Ryan "purchased" a mystery box.  As shown in the photo, it is a third grade dictionary that he can use when making slides so as not to make spelling errors.

President Michael Arthur, Rotary Club of Historic Folsom, purchased a 49er box that included golf balls and a XXXL 49er sweater.  He asked the Hoffmans to auction off the sweater, but no takers.

If you missed the meeting, you missed some great fun and comaraderie.

Third Grade Dictionary Distribution

Most of this years dictionary distribution took place between December 5 and December 14.  There are three schools that will receive their dictionaries in January.  Rich Pepin led the project and did a fantastic job getting the dictionaries labeled and distributed.  Our club and the Rotary Club of Historic Folsom distributed 1,050 dictionaries to third graders this year.  Below is a photo of the distribution at Carl Sundahl School.

For more photos of the distribution, go to the photo album on our home page, 2022 Third Grade Dictionary Project.  The first six photos are of the labeling work party.
