Meeting Notes from March 31, 2022
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by a couple of members after which President Steve Brozosky rang the bell to bring the meeting to order. Bob Mange gave the Invocation.
Secretary Jim Padgett introduced visiting Rotarians.
President Steve thanked the members who volunteered to move the Folsom History Museum permanent display so the museum could update the display. John Messner continued to work on the project last week. President Steve also said that the club assisted Vista Del Lago High School with a $200 grant for paint for a student art mural at the school.
Thanks to Adrian Blanco for buying the bar and congratulations for being voted Best Local Business and Jewelry Store.
Justin Raithel asked for additional volunteers to sign up for the meal train for Tim Hughes as they get settled with their new son, Sage.
Monika Reyes thanked the women Rotarians and their friends for building at Habitat for Humanity. All the women who volunteered for this service raised over $100,000 for this event. She plans to make this an annual event for the women of the Rotary Club of Folsom.
Michelle Raithel, former member of our club and President-Elect of the Rotary Club of Roseville talked about their fund-raiser on April 23 called Taco Throwdown. Tickets are $60 per person . Get more information and tickets at

Sue Barrett gave a Rotary Foundation update and said that 75% of our members have donated this year. President Steve asked that every member donate at least $25 to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund so the club will be an EREY club (Every Rotarian Every Year).
President Steve announced that the Nominating Committee for President of the Club nominated Justin Raithel for President of the Rotary Year 2023-2024. Any other candidates can submit a letter to Secretary Jim if they want to be President for 2023-2024. The election will take place at the meeting on April 7.
Jim Ortega introduced out guest speaker, Brian Van Camp, Retired Superior Court Judge.
