Meeting Notes from October 30, 2025
The meeting of October 30 was our annual Halloween Party. Since it was a party rather than a meeting, President Scott Bailey started the meeting by ringing the bell without our traditional opening.
Secretary Jim Padgett introduced guests and visiting Rotarians. Visiting spouses and partners were not introduced.
There were a couple of announcements. President Scott announced there will not be a meeting on November 6 as the kitchen is being remodeled by the city. However, there will be a board meeting at the clubhouse at 5:30 and members are invited if they would like to attend. President Scott also thanked John Baciocco and his team of volunteers for a wonderful and successfulj Oktoberfest.
Olga Garton announced that our club will be supporting a Smiling Christmas Tree for Folsom Cordova Unified School District again this year. She plans to send out an email to members on how they can participate.
Dinner for Halloween included hamburgers, cheese burgers, hot dogs, salads, and mustard, catsup, etc.
President Scott asked the attendees to vote for best costumed couple and individual costumed person. While that was going on, we played music bingo. Lynne Bailey ran the music on a laptop and President Scott, after some encouragement, announced the name of each song as most of us had never even heard these songs. Guessing a song was an impossible task. Eventually, we did have a bingo winner, Ramesh Dontha. A few minutes later, Tara Abraham yelled BINGO and a couple of minutes later, Ann Hutto yelled BINGO.
Ramesh a.k.a. Michael Jackson who sang and danced to Thriller.

Work Party to Rebuild a Deck
Last Saturday, November 1, members of the Rotary Club of Folsom worked on rebuilding a deck for Bea Kuntz. Bea has been a Rotary Anne for many years and her late husband, Jim, was a member of our club. The project was not completed on Saturday and was continued on Tuesday.
The club tore down the jail that was built by the club at Pioneer Village for Halloween and transported it to Bea's home to fix her three tiered deck.
