Meeting Notes from December 18, 2025
The meeting of December 18 was opened by President Scott Bailey at 7 pm. Henry Sundermier led the Pledge of Allegiance and Bob Mange gave the Invocation.
The December 18 meeting was our annual Holiday Party with a theme this year of a Scottish Holiday. Members and guests were invited to wear Scottish garb and plaids. With so many guests, President Scott decided not to do introductions to save time.
Newly elected Mayor Justin Raithel bought the bar. Justin, thank you. President Scott thanked our bartenders Josh Brannan and Khari Nelson.
President Scott thanked Olga Garton for chairing the Wishing Tree project. Olga thanked the Rotary volunteers and Rotary Annes for their assistance in making this a very successful year for giving to the Wishing Tree Project helping the neediest students in FCUSD.
A delicious dinner including ribeye steaks, mashed potatoes, and asparagus was served by our caterer. Portobello mushrooms in place of steaks were served to vegetarians. Cookies were served for dessert.
After dinner we were entertained by members of the Sacramento Pipes and Drums Band and dancers. After their performance, the dancers offered to teach some Scottish dance steps to the members and guests.
