Meeting Notes from July 25, 2024
The meeting of July 25 was opened by President Ramesh Dontha leading the Pledge of Allegiance. Al Stehli gave the Invocation.
Vicki Bencken introduced guests and visiting Rotarians.
President Ramesh visited Dave Boldt at Mountain Manor in Carmichael. He said that Dave should be going home soon. Dave enjoys having visitors if you would like to visit him.
President Ramesh and Assistant District Governor Ryan Jantzen are looking into the possibility of our club giving scholarships at Folsom Lake College.
President Ramesh reminded the members that Community Service Day is September 21.
Frank Ali talked about our upcoming fund-raiser, Oktoberfest, at the Folsom Community Center on Sunday, October 27, 2024 from 3 pm to 7 pm. Live music will be provided by The Gruber Family Band, the best Oktoberfest band in the western United States. Online tickets are available at
Oktoberfest. We are doing this fundraiser in partnership with the Rotary Club of Fair Oaks. Our club is obligated to sell 250 tickets and volunteer to work on the event.

Vicki introduced our speaker Bonnie Rea from the Alzheimer's Association. Bonnie told us about dementia and the differences between Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. She also gave us the 10 symptoms of a person with Alzheimer's. For mor information about Alzheimer's, go to
alz.org. At the end of her presentation, President Ramesh presented to her a chocolate Rotary Wheel from Snook's.
