Meeting Notes from October 29, 2020
The ZOOM meeting of October 29 was called to order by President Monika Reyes at 7:05 pm. Guests included Dianne Cralle, Rotary Club of Fair Oaks, Trudy Nygren, and our three program speakers.
President Monika announced that the birthday parade/drive by for Orville Wegat's 99th birthday would take place on Friday, October 30. She also announced a Saturday paddle on Lake Natoma with the President instead than Friday this week.
Our program was all about "brews and booze" and our three speakers were:
- Chris Dooley - certified sommelier and bartender. He educated us about different kinds of whisky.
- Joe "The Tequila Guy" Horrigan - He taught us about tequila. By the way, he does tastings for non-profit groups.
- John Soderstrom - is Red Bus Brewery's resident Certified Cicerone Level 2 which means he has a solid and well-rounded knowledge of beer and beer service. He said he was a beer enthusiast and hobbyist and, needless to say, educated us on different styles of beer.
After the three presentations, President Monika acted as moderator and asked questions of the panel.
Colnn Miguelgorry announced that the club cooking event will be on Friday, November 6 from 7 until 9 pm.

On Friday, October 30, the Rotary Club of Folsom drove by Orville Wegat's home in a parade to honor his 99th birthday.
