Folsom Rotary Foundation: What We Do
The Folsom Rotary Foundation funds a variety of community service projects throughout the Folsom community.
Supporting Students and Education in the Folsom Community:
- Support for the rebuild of Castle Park
- Provide dictionaries for every third grader in Folsom public schools
- Sponsor and support Interact Clubs at Folsom High School and Vista del lago High School
- Support of Scouting America Troops 94b, 94g, Ship 94, and Cub Scout Pack 134
- Sponsorship of the Annual Dave West Partnerships for Tomorrow, a one-day leadership conference for Folsom High School juniors and the business community
- Support Folsom's Hope landscape and playground improvements
- The Wising Tree partnership between the Rotary Club of Folsom and Folsom-Cordova Unified School District to support underserved youth in the Folsom community
- Rotary Youth Exchange sponsorship for Folsom high-school students studying abroad
- Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) - Week-long leadership program for high schools students
- Scholarships for high school graduates from Folsom High School and Folsom Lake High School
- Scholarships for local college students
- Support for Sober Grad Night at Folsom High School
- Annual Speech contest sponsor for candidates from Folsom High School
- Teacher Mini-Grant Awards program open to all teachers in Folsom
- Van in support of the Flying Samaritans Mother Lode Chapter
